The lead character Naima, portrayed by Novera Rahman, is the capricious elder daughter of a rickshaw-puller. Naima is a free, and independent girl who grew up in a village with her life being as colourful as the rangolis she used to make. One day she moves to the city, and through trials and tribulations, gradually becomes a brave rickshaw girl
Rickshaw Girl – Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s upcoming film just dropped the first poster. Produced by Eric J Adams, alongside joint executive producers Faridur Reza Sagor and Ziauddin Adil, the film boasts of maintaining international standards. Based on Mitali Perkins’s best-selling book of the same name, the screenplay was written by Naseef Faruque Amin, and ABC’s Quantico-famed Sharbari Zohra Ahmed.
The shooting had taken place in various locations across the country including Pabna, and Gazipur for the past four months. More than 100 houses were built at Bangabandhu Film City, Gazipur for the first time in Bangladesh to achieve the slum look.
