Filmmaker Amitabh Reza Chowdhury, who has won the hearts of millions with his crime thriller “Aynabaji”, is now busy working on his upcoming film “Rickshaw Girl.” “The shooting for ‘Rickshaw Girl’ will start from March of the next year. We are currently busy conducting initial research for the project,” Amitabh told the Dhaka Tribune. Earlier, after attending the Busan Platform program as part of the Bangladeshi contingent, Amitabh told Variety magazine that the film is based on Mitali Perkins’ bestselling 2007 young adult novel of the same title. Revolving around the life of Naima, a painter of traditional motifs, the novel was chosen by New York Public Library as one of the 100 best children’s books of the last 100 years. As a cherry on top, Amitabh is planning to incorporate animation in the poignant story. “I will explore rickshaw paintings in Dhaka and the ideas of rickshaw paintings in general. I will also incorporate some animations for fun,” he said
